A. PurposePrincipal Rotating Engineer is responsible to provide support services on electrical equipment & systems to the Maintenance Division and to supervise electrical maintenance works as required.B. ResponsibilityPrincipal Rotating Engineer in Reliability Engineering Section is responsible to provide support services on electrical equipment & systems to the Maintenance Division, to trouble shoot of electrical failures, to evaluate the reliability of electrical equipment & systems, to control contract works and to supervise maintenance works as required. To perform its responsibility, minimum works are as follows,- Responsible to provide electrical equipment & system support services to the Maintenance Department.- Establish, develop and monitor maintenance programs (which include inspection & monitoring) for electric equipment & systems.- Provide daily maintenance plan and each maintenance acts for electrical equipment & systems.Provide technical support and expertise in an effort to maintain reliable electrical equipment & systems for the refinery.- Conduct routine and complex engineering, design, analysis and technical tasks.- Conduct technical leadership role to supervise, coordinate and direct others.- Co-operate with co-workers in warehouse, workshop and other related disciplines in refinery to perform assigned works.- Identify areas where electrical equipment & systems can improve plant operation and profitability.- Monitor and evaluate the plant systems for anomalies and deficiencies, and make recommendations to repair or upgrade as needed.Coordinate and supervise maintenance contractors for additional support activities when required.- Support criticality assessments of the plant's electrical equipment.- Suggest for spare parts for electrical equipment & systems.- Oversee application and interpretation of Vietnamese electrical codes and other applicable codes and standards (including common industry standards).- Find out and analysis root cause of the electrical incident and prepare methods for repairing electrical incident.- Develop life cycle costs for electric equipment & system repairs and replacement.- Prepare technical repair work scopes for electric equipment & system, testing and/or modification in line with OEM recommended practices, common industry standards and company procedures.- Help shop craftsmen in the analyzing and troubleshooting of failed electric equipment & system and rework jobs.Prepare electric equipment & system RFQ packages and technical bid evaluations and make vendor suggestions.- Develop QA/QC standards for electric equipment & systems repair.- Prepare electric equipment technical specifications.- Be mentor to the less experienced engineers in the group.- Other reasonable works as requested by his superior.
