The Asset Manager is accountable for the effective management, performance and value optimization of AEPCo?s operating and future renewable energy assets. This role provides central oversight of technical, operational, commercial, financial and contractual performance throughout the asset lifecycle, working closely with internal teams, contractors, off-takers, lenders, regulators and other key stakeholders.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESAsset & Performance Management? Manage the performance of AEPCo?s renewable energy assets, ensuring energy yield, availability, revenue and profitability meet or exceed approved targets.? Establish and monitor asset and portfolio KPIs, identify underperformance and lead timely corrective and preventive actions.? Oversee asset management plans, equipment reliability, warranties, degradation, major maintenance and lifecycle CAPEX requirements.? Support the transition and integration of new projects into the operating portfolio and ensure effective lifecycle management.O&M & Contractor Management? Act as the primary interface with O&M teams and contractors, ensuring delivery against contracts, SLAs, KPIs and approved maintenance plans.? Review operational performance, outages, recurring failures and maintenance activities, challenging performance and escalating material issues as required.? Coordinate site visits, inspections and audits and ensure corrective actions are closed within agreed timelines.? Manage contractor performance and support the enforcement of applicable contractual rights and remedies.Financial, Commercial & Contract Management? Work with Finance to manage asset budgets, forecasts, operating costs, revenues, invoices, collections and financial performance.? Monitor PPAs, financing arrangements, leases, EPC/O&M agreements, warranties and other material contractual obligations.? Identify revenue leakage, contractual deductions, cost optimization opportunities and other factors affecting asset profitability.? Support claims, asset valuation, business planning, refinancing, acquisitions and other investment-related analysis as required.Stakeholder, Risk & Compliance Management? Coordinate with Development, Engineering, Finance, HSE, Legal and external stakeholders to resolve asset-related matters and protect AEPCo?s interests.? Ensure compliance with applicable laws, permits, grid requirements, HSE, environmental standards and contractual obligations.? Maintain asset-level risk, insurance and contingency plans and ensure key operational, commercial, financial and contractual risks are actively managed.? Maintain accurate assets, contract, warranty, permit and obligation records, ensuring critical milestones and deadlines are proactively managed.Reporting & Portfolio Optimization? Prepare clear operational, financial, commercial, contractual and risk reports and dashboards for the CDO and senior management.? Provide timely analysis of material variances, incidents, risks and performance trends, with clear recommendations for action.? Identify and implement opportunities to improve energy yield, availability, operational efficiency, cost performance and asset profitability.? Support long-term asset strategy and portfolio optimization initiatives to maximize value over the asset lifecycle.CONTRACT, PPA & CLAIMS MANAGEMENT? Monitor compliance with PPAs, O&M agreements, EPC contracts, warranties, land/lease agreements, financing documents, insurance policies and other material contracts.? Support the preparation and management of contractual claims arising from underperformance, delays, equipment failures or other asset-related matters.FINANCING, INSURANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT? Monitor compliance with financing and loan covenants and coordinate with Finance and lenders on required operational, financial and performance reporting.? Maintain an asset-level risk register covering key operational, commercial, financial and contractual risks, with appropriate mitigation actions.? Develop and maintain contingency and business continuity measures for critical asset risks.REGULATORY, HSE & COMPLIANCE? Ensure assets remain compliant with applicable laws, regulations, permits, grid requirements, environmental requirements and contractual obligations.? Monitor significant incidents, near misses and HSE performance, ensuring appropriate investigation and corrective action.ASSET LIFECYCLE & PORTFOLIO OPTIMIZATION? Identify opportunities to improve energy yield, availability, operational efficiency and asset profitability, including equipment upgrades, technology improvements, operational changes and cost-saving initiatives.? Support lifecycle planning and long-term asset strategy to maximize asset and portfolio value.DOCUMENTATION & GOVERNANCE? Maintain assets, contract, warranty and permit registers, together with key obligation and milestone trackers.? Ensure proper governance, documentation and record-keeping throughout the asset lifecycle.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS? Monitor energy generation and yield, plant availability and performance ratio against budget and contractual targets.? Track revenue and collection performance and operating costs against approved budgets.? Monitor O&M contractor performance against agreed SLAs and KPIs, including reduction in unplanned outages and recurring failures.? Ensure timely resolution of defects, incidents and corrective actions and track delivery of asset optimization and cost-saving initiatives.ROLE ACCOUNTABILITY? The Asset Manager is accountable for ensuring assigned assets are operated safely, efficiently, compliantly and profitably, while protecting AEPCo?s contractual, financial and commercial interests and maximizing long-term portfolio value.
