Job Description

Overview Position Senior Electrical Design Engineer Job Code Reports to ED Projects Direct Reports Division/Section Projects Department Projects Sector Job Family Role Purpose

  • As part of the project execution team, the candidate will be overseeing the electrical and telecom aspects of our construction projects to ensure they meet our design intent, specifications, and quality standards.

  • Represent Neom in all electrical engineering matters during the planning, construction, and commissioning phases of construction projects.
  • Review and provide feedback on electrical engineering designs, drawings, and specifications submitted by external consultants and contractors.
  • Monitor and inspect/telecom electrical installations to ensure compliance with design intent, specifications, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress, identify potential issues, and ensure quality control.
  • Provide technical expertise and support in resolving electrical engineering issues that arise during construction.
  • Review and approve electrical submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Ensure all electrical systems comply with local, state, and national codes and regulations.
  • Prepare and present reports on project status, electrical system performance, and compliance to senior management.
  • Advocate for Neoms interests, ensuring that project timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Background, Skills & Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering within the building and infrastructure industry with a strong focus on large complex construction projects.
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or similar certification preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering electrical components of large-scale projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively represent the client in meetings and negotiations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Proficient in English.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
