Job Description

Overview Position Port Interface Manager, Port Operations Sector OXAGON Division Port and Sea Mobility Department Port Operations - Service Delivery Role Purpose Facilitate the interface discussions between the Port of Neom and the relevant authorities to streamline port procedures and drive the necessary changes to maximize performance and reduce manual interventions in the cargo release process.Key Accountabilities & Activities Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure daily routines of cargo inspection are carried out smoothly with high standards of performance and respecting all safety rules and best practices.
  • Identify, deploy, and control all port resources to enable an efficient cargo inspection process.
  • Guarantee all legal requirements are being met by the Port operations while handling port stevedoring activities.
  • Implement clear objectives and KPIs to measure performance and quality of service provided.
  • Establish daily reporting of statistics to ensure full transparency of efficiency of performance.
  • Guarantee the Safety procedures are properly implemented and followed within the customs inspection area, promote our safety culture within all other port stakeholders.
  • Ensure right technology deployment to facilitate Customs inspection communication between Port Operations and Customs for cargo release / delivery.
  • Ensure a constant, proactive, and effective approach regarding processes continuous improvement.
  • Promote the deployment of new technology to reduce human intervention as much as possible, optimizing the inspection times by having consistent information, clear communication flows and cargo release procedures in place.
  • Support the Port in driving operational changes within the cargo release processes in conjunction with Neom authority team and Customs base economy and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Support the development of our Port Community System and Single Window with the purpose of streamlining the cargo release related steps and procedures.
  • Support the alignment and strategy to address operational requirements with Customs base economy and NEOM authority.
  • Support NEOM in having the future facilities layouts and modus operandi duly approved by the necessary government authorities.
Background, Skills & Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • The position requires a professional standard of knowledge to lead teams through functional/general expertise in Container terminal activities.
  • Have good command of both written and spoken English and Arabic
  • Having actively participated in any port community systems development or implementation is a plus.
  • Highly skilled in use of Microsoft Office
  • Team player and ability to work across other workstreams to achieve results
  • Demonstrate a customer-oriented attitude and is proactive in customer communication.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in business administration, Supply Chain & Logistics or equivalent
  • Relevant years of experience in the container and port industry with experience of managerial/supervisory experience
