Financial Controller - Senior Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller with strong knowledge of Joint Venture Accounting to join our finance team. The successful candidate will oversee all accounting and financial operations and manage the budget for our joint venture projects. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, advanced knowledge of accounting principles and financial management . Key to ensure integrity of financial information for effective decision making.Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and IFRS
• Manage the budget for joint venture projects, including forecasting, tracking, and reporting on expenses and revenue.
• Coordinate with joint venture partners to ensure accurate and timely reporting and communication of financial information
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Develop and implement financial controls and processes to mitigate risk and ensure accuracy of financial data
• Manage and develop accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to provide financial insights and support for business decisions

Reqired experience:

• Management and reporting or related fields
• Excellent IFRS knowledge, Experience in coordinating internal and external audits
• Experience in Middle East or KSA environment and in coordinating engagements of accounting, and financial advisors
• Commercially focused accountant able to advice and participate at leadership level concerning large investment programs and accompanying partnership structures.
• Ability to design and implement robust accounting processes and control activities
• Excellent organizational, time-management, logical reasoning, and numeric skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Works effectively on multiple activities, setting priority levels and service delivery standards
• Adapts to short timescales and changing deadlines ensuring high standards are not compromised under pressure
• Solutions based with strong planning, organizational and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience in building and managing a strong team in a multi-cultural environment.
• Experience in Food related business
• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance (Masters degree preferred)
• CPA or CMA certification required
• Minimum of 15 years of accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Experience in joint venture accounting and budget management
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
