Overview Position Director, Personalized Nutrition & Novel Foods Job Code Reports to Executive Director, Food Sector Direct Reports Division/Section Department Sector NEOM Food (NF) Job Family Role Purpose The Director, Personalized Nutrition and Novel Foods will be responsible for developing and delivering innovative solutions that support the development of personalized nutrition services. This role will further serve as acting Commercial Director of Novel Foods. As such, this role will be responsible for the research, development, and commercial implementation of strategies to drive the success of services and products in the personalized nutrition and novel foods. An ability to integrate and synergize personalized nutrition and novel foods offering to drive a competitive advantage for the NEOM Company will be essential.Key Accountabilities & Activities Key Activities NEOM aims at providing opportunities for people to live healthy, productive, and fulfilling lives, while sustainably using the natural resources upon which they depend. NEOM partners with governments, local and international businesses, and knowledge institutes to transform ideas into policy, policy into action, and action into impact. NEOM uses its technical knowledge and experience, passionate staff, local presence, and global influence to make a lasting difference in peoples livability, especially in desert-like conditions in a world facing climate change.As part of this vision, NEOM will drive the development and widespread provision of wholesome food and state-of-the-art personalized nutrition services to the NEOM population, the broader KSA region and internationally. The Director, Personalized Nutrition, and Novel Foods will be responsible for a compelling commercialization strategy that provides a competitive edge for the NEOM Food Company. The Director, Personalized Nutrition, will also drive commercialization activities in the Novel Foods program and develop an integrated program to enhance commercial offerings in the personalized nutrition and novel foods space. Key activities include:

• Overseeing research and develop strategies for the development of personalized nutrition services and novel food products.
• Develop and execute commercial plans for the successful introduction of these services and products.
• Identify new opportunities to develop and introduce personalized nutrition services and novel food products.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of personalized nutrition services and novel food products.
• Lead and manage teams of professionals in the development and commercial implementation of personalized nutrition services and novel food products.
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and industry partners.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the personalized nutrition and novel food sectors.
• Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Ensure effective transfer of network research findings to advance commercial opportunities for NEOM.
• Prepare and submit reports on the progress and success of personalized nutrition services and novel food products.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and developments in order to identify new opportunities for personalized nutrition services and novel food products

• Coaching skills to guide and develop non-technical colleagues on scientific matters

Qualification s

• A degree in dietetics, nutrition, food science or a related field.
• 15 years of experience in food development/production/sales/management field
• Experience in oversseing research projects in relevant fields
• Excellent command of English - both written and verbal

• NEOM Food Sector divisions
• Sector Heads/Executive Directors of other economic sectors, with specific focus on health/wellbeing and other citizen experience sectors
• All NEOM partnership support functions such as Corporate Finance, IT, Legal, Investment Fund, and Government Affairs
• Regional and global companies in the food sector encompassing large corporations, SMEs, and start-ups
• Regional and international food and nutrition firms
• Government, food policy, and regulatory agencies
