Job Description

Role aim: Effective Management of Safety Systems which create a culture of safety driven by quality processes and demonstrable continuous improvement in safety and in accordance to General Authority of Civil Aviation and its applicable RegulationsTo monitor and advise on how the defined system is performing against set performance indicators through continuous audit, internal advisory and publications, including reports highlighting key areas of required improvement within the organizationRisk analysis and recommendation - technical, flight operations, aviation security and commercialSafety & Safety Management Systems - Core Duty:

  • Recommend, formulate and implement safety policy and procedures
  • Safety Management System Implementation, Performance and improvement
  • Establish and communicate a detailed safety plan for the organization
  • Monitoring of Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Engineering & Maintenance, Flight Crew Training and Aviation Security departments for compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Accident Prevention and Flight Safety implementation
  • Coordinate and assure compliance with the Risk Assessment Program
  • Conduct Annual Security and Safety Audits
  • Incidents & Accidents - Reporting and investigating
  • Implement, coordinate and instruct safety related training program.
Quality and Compliance Monitoring - Core Duty:
  • Development and maintenance of the organization Quality system policies and procedures
  • Verify, by monitoring, that the standards required by the Authorities and any additional requirements defined by TRSASC, are implemented in the company documentation and manuals
  • Management of the company quality audit program
  • Liaison with departmental managers concerning the correction of any deficiencies highlighted through the Quality system
  • Providing appropriate reports to the Accountable Manager and Senior Management on the performance of the Quality system
  • Liaising with contracted goods and service providers regarding Quality matters
  • Managing the Mandatory Occurrence Defect Reporting processes
  • Acting as a focal point for all communication with the local aviation authorities in respect to quality and certification matters.
Recruitment Criteria:
  • Qualifications:
Aviation Degree (or extensive experience with aviation technical background)ATPL / CPL or AMEL (Holder or have held)SMS / QMS / Human Factor / ERP Lead Auditor / Accident Incident InvestigationRisk Management (Aviation Operational)
  • Experience:
Minimum 8 years experience in Aviation of which 3 should be in SMS / QMS implementation and operation and preferably in management role. Airline / General Aviation environment (preferably commercial seaplane operations but not essential) Extensive knowledge of SMS / QMS Regulations (FAA, EASA, GACA)Auditing / Inspections / Investigation (hands on and management)Hazard / Risk Management SMS/QMS Software implementation and management
  • Others:
Fluent English communication skills (written and verbal)Analytical / Objective / Firm but fair mindsetProject Management
