OVERVIEW Position Assistant Project ManagerReports to Senior Construction ManagerDivision/Section InfrastructureDepartment ConstructionRole Purpose To coordinate and oversee operations activities to timely and successful completion of tasks, within the department, within budget and scope, in support of the construction senior manager, while adhering to company policies and procedures.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES . Assist the Construction Senior Manager in developing and implementing operation plans and strategies to achieve project objectives.. Involved in the procurement process, developing purchase orders with potential vendors.. Develop and manage budgets, and resource allocation plans for acquisition of additional accommodation, office space and vehicles.People Management. Assist the Senior Construction Manager in leading and managing team members.. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success and logisitics. Facilitate effective communication among project team members, stakeholders, and leadership with all related to operations and logisticsOperations & Logisitics. Ensure project activities are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.. Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure project objectives are met.BACKGROUND, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge, Skills and Experience . At least 3-5 years of experience in project management, preferably in the construction industry.. Experience in managing medium to large-scale projects.. Experience in managing budgets, procurement, and purchasesQualifications . A degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.. Professional certification / project management knowledge such as PMP (Project Management Professional)
