Provide advanced technical and/or operational expertise on GISCreate and manage online tools using spatial data; designs and implements spatial databases in SQLDelivery of the most appropriate schedules for asset data updates and cleansingGather, verify, input and maintain accuracy of spatial data received from a variety of sources such as ROMD staff, contractors and suppliersUndertake site visit for verification of data and field inspectionCreate new desktop and online GIS software tools for use by GIS staff. Interfaces GIS and other software to construct complex applications.Provide complex and ad-hoc geo-spatial reportsCarry out complex spatial and data analysis on gathered data and identify potential trends or issues with data accuracyCreate maps which identify location of network infrastructure and assetsQualificationBachelor Degree or higher level qualification in Engineering in a relevant subject.Education qualification obtained from North America, West Europe, AustraliaHolder of Accreditation from the Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or similar would be an advantageCurrent/valid Qatar Driving License would be an advantageExperience: Minimum of 5 years? work experience in a similar positionPractical experience in developing SQL scripts to extract data is essentialIn depth knowledge and experience of web based GIS solutions, primarily ESRI ArcGIS, ArcGIS Server, and ArcGIS using Microsoft C #.Net, Python or VBA preferredKnowledge of Microsoft Office Packages and in particular Microsoft Excel 2010Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English is essentialAbility to communicate verbally and in writing in Arabic is preferred
