Job Description

Summary/Objective: To control functions with the plan including master scheduling, shop floor control, inventory planning and control, and providing focus and direction on continuous improvement in safety, quality, cost reduction, and inventory position manages a team.Responsibilities? Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission, support better management reporting, information flow, business process and organizational planning.? Oversee daily, weekly, monthly production and sales report Vs plans and forecasts.? Daily follow up the productivity and output in order to Identifying, initiating, and leading projects to improve service, quality, and operational performance.? Maintain efficient safety according to company standards and achieve all plant operational goals and design plant budget for all company assets and capital expenditure plans for all short term and long-term objectives? Design and implement all inventory control procedures and coordinate with department managers to achieve all department communication activities? Proven track record of success handling progressive responsibilities coupled with the ability to lead individual employees and team activities to drive 'world-class' performance within a production environment.? Experienced in formal continuous improvement programs and experienced in computer systems (ERP) to manage manufacturing operations and make data driven decisions that improve business processes and overall productivity.? Participate in all improvement meetings and provide training to all employees and provide support to all product development activities? Increasing production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards? Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop plant staff? Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime? Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results? Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus? Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions? Ensure compliance to all company policies and ensure adherence to all Qatar regulations and assist human resource departments to complete all tasks.? Proactively evaluate current processes and systems to identify continuous improvement opportunities within the extended value stream and develop and implement best practices in supply chain disciplines.? Manages and reviews inputs (Sales, Operations, and Inventory Planning process (SOIP), cycle counting, physical inventory, profit planning) and controls (min./max. levels, lead times, etc.) of the ordering process to ensure that inventory levels (purchase parts, WIP, finished goods, consignment, in-transit etc.) to meet division and corporate expectations? Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements while maximizing turns, minimizing carrying costs and premium transportation charges? An in-depth knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and hands on experience and knowledge of MRP systems, planning and executions, supply chain management practices, bills of material, and knowledge of material control scheduling.? Supervise all delivery and logistic schedule and determine required production targets to reduce cost and facilitate required changes to maintain product quality at all times.Manage the market and receiving areas. Responsible for developing and improving the internal materials delivery system by using Material Flow (MMF) and Continuous Flow (CCF) processes? Trouble-shoots and responds to after-hour issues as needed regarding the operational aspects of the facilities such as HVAC issues, fire alarm malfunctions, electrical outages, water leaks, etc? Lead and assist in other departments, in particular training, coaching and developing others through lean material principles? Updates and maintains list of District facilities equipment, including life-cycle and replacement costs? Plans, organizes, maintains, and manages the operations and reliability of QGMD facilities and general infrastructure systems. Establishes and monitors preventative maintenance processes and programs and facility inspection processes for on-going review of maintenance work by agencies having jurisdiction? Monitors the safety and accessibility of the facilities. Serves as the point of contact for the department for code (e.g. ADA, Fire Life Safety) compliance issues, accessibility improvement projects, and/or other code related issues.? Updates and maintains list of District facilities equipment, including life-cycle and replacement costs.? Monitors and oversees the work of external contractors to ensure terms of agreements are met and work is completed satisfactorily.Education/ Qualifications and Experience:-? BS/MS Degree, Materials Management/Any Engineering, Sourcing and/or related field required.? 12 to 16 years of experience in Medical Devices Manufacturing company.Supervisory Responsibility? Position has direct supervisory responsibilities for the Production plant.Competencies:? Knowledge of process improvement concepts and methods along with the flexibility and adaptability to accept, support, and deploy new processes in a changing business environment.? Develop relationships built on trust and integrity to be the ?expert of choice? among team and colleagues? Effective communications skills at both technical and leadership levels. Must include strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to understand information and ideas as presented? Skill in conflict resolution including the ability to address difference of opinions or facts and use the most appropriate method to reach an effective solution.? Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize time/workload and delegate work in order to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.? Ability to effectively coach and foster staff growth and development.? Ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, rationale, and diplomacy.Technical & IT Skills:? Experience implementing continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives? Experience on ERP system
