Responsibilities:* Senior Safety Technician ? Fire, shall carryout the following activities, but not limited to, under the control and command of the QP Fire services Department leadership as part of the QP fire rescue services at BASE LOCATION:-* Conducts ad-hoc and scheduled fire equipment inspections on premises in accordance to established procedures and issue non-conformance reports with corrective actions and schedule follow up inspections.* Responsible for ensuring that emergency apparatus are always in a state of readiness to immediately respond to emergencies through established testing and maintenance programmes This includes mobile and fixed apparatus e g Vehicles, portable extinguishers, hose reels, mobile pumps, etc.* Maintains records, hard and soft copy using SAP and bespoke databases, of inspections and maintenance activities and writes reports on discrepancies and performance.* Delivers training programs to meet the needs of BASE LOCATION and participates in drills and exercises Contributes to the delivery of personnel training and major multi agency exercises/drills* Assists in the review and testing of new equipment, apparatus or techniques to assess their usefulness and or suitability for the safety of personnel Liaises with other departments (Medical, Industrial Hygiene, Safety etc.) on mutually beneficial matters establish best value approach to equipment maintenance and coordinated inspections.
