JOB TITLE: OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE MANAGERREPORTS TO : CHIEF BUSINESS EXCELLENCE OFFICERRole Purpose : To implement the right processes and practices across the organization and formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing complianceKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES1.Ensure that Steel Production plan targets are met and product availability schedules are kept through resolving problems and coordinating with customer departments ensuring customer expectations are met.2.Evaluate and review short and long term Steel Production issues and direct activities accordingly in order to support the achievement of the production plan3.Develop, obtain approval and implement the annual operating plans and budgets for Operations to enable achievement of Qatar Steel agreed business objectives.4.Attend weekly and monthly Management Meetings in order to liaise and communicate on operational issues with other Departments and to ensure that planned and actual manufacturing operational activities meet the needs of the production process on an ongoing basis5.Participate in conduct Feasibility Studies of new projects and investment opportunities to determine their economic viability.6.Ensure reports of accuracy, integrity and high quality of information provided to management on all projects and investment plans.7.Participate in the review, evaluation and decision making of new expansions and/or revamping projects in accordance with approved corporate strategy.8.Provide professional advice and support to all levels of the business on the full range of Operational issues to ensure that the Operational capability of the business is optimized.9.Identify and realise opportunities for improvement of Operational efficiency through the optimal use of capital investment and introducing new additives to improve efficiency in terms of cost.10.Ensure the application of and adherence to a robust quality management system so that all products meet consumer expectations and non-conformance is minimized.11.Direct and control the HSE functions to support operational in the achievement of high standards of safety, security, emergency response and environmental control, meeting best in class standards for incidents.12.Develop staff in line with Qatarisation and Succession plans ensuring that future plans are met by highly qualified, committed and motivated staff.13.Contribute as a member of the top team in the formulation and achievement of business strategies and plans to meet the agreed business objectives.QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS-Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Metallurgy/ Chemistry /Mechanics.-Minimum 15 years progressive experience in Steel Industry And or Other Similar industry.-Experience in managing a multi-cultural and multi-national work force.-Excellent communication skills.-Excellent organizational and leadership abilities-Outstanding communication and people skills-Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metricsRequired Candidate profileJOB TITLE: OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE MANAGERREPORTS TO: CHIEF BUSINESS EXCELLENCE OFFICERRole Purpose: To implement the right processes and practices across the organization and formulating strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing complianceQUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS-Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Metallurgy/ Chemistry /Mechanics.-Minimum 15 years progressive experience in Steel Industry And or Other Similar industry.-Experience in managing a multi-cultural and multi-national work force.-Excellent communication skills.-Excellent organizational and leadership abilities-Outstanding communication and people skills-Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
