Job Description

We are looking for Head of Shutdown Execution for QatarJob Purpose Shutdown, ensuring compliance to the Client gating requirements and adherence to all shutdown milestones. Direct and control the team responsible for preparing and supporting the safe implementation of shutdown and execution activities for the North Field Production Sustainability (NFPS) EPC- Offshore project team. Coordinate with with all stakeholders (Client PMT, Client Operations and EPC Contractor) and manage the integrated shutdowns schedule. In all activities, ensure fit for purpose application of best practices, technology and appropriate strategies for successful execution. Coordinate, conduct and/or participate in project assurance and other reviews to ensure compliance with Client Project Management System (QGPMS) standards and industry best practices.Responsibilities:1. Supports Project Management Team (PMT) in managing and controlling project shutdown execution activities, by providing guidance to the team, ensuring timely and effective directions are followed in all aspects of planning and executing the workload.2. Direct the team to ensure the safety, administrative and operational aspects of shutdowns are monitored and the performance targets are being met.3. Ensures overall compliance with shutdown Execution Plans, specifications, and procedures by promoting effective communication and teamworking together with best practice sharing to improve operational efficiencies.4. Manage key interfaces with continuous and regular communication with all stakeholders including but not limited to Operations, PMT and EPC Contractor.5. Lead the preparation for shutdown activities ensuring adequate scope components are included and requirements properly described. Contribute to the roles and responsibilities definition to ensure an efficient prepqaration and execution of the full EPCO program of brownfield and shutdown activities.6. Manages the pre shutdown, shutdown & post shut down activites including the early detailed planification of the gating requirements and ensuring a robust EPCO shutdown management program is put in place.7. Manage contractor performance through leadership and coaching to ensure teams understand the work processes, implementation and performance monitoring, resulting in the timely mobilisation of quality resources and effectiveness of site personnel.8. Leads or contributes to project workshops related to Execution such as, Complexity, Contracting Strategy, CDRA and HAZID, HAZOP, LL, VE etc., ensuring timely resolution to problems and challenges through best practices, industry standards and knowledge gained from personal experience.9. Coordinates Lessons Learned (LL) and Value Engineering (VE), to ensure previous lessons learned are utilised and that new lessons learned are captured.10. Implement effective interaction with Project Team, Client departments and contractors to resolve issues and ensure execution is aligned with best practices in shutdown planning, preparation and reliability in line with approved schedule and costs.11. Provide Management a look-ahead of critical activities to get the necessary focus on planning and resources and update these as required to achieve agreed objectives12. Highlight to Management attention, any signs of poor CONTRACTOR performance and take the lead for providing immediate corrective actions proposals13. Inform Management immediately of any safety or compliance issues that are incompatible with Client procedures14. Provide regular and efficient reporting to provide Management a good overview of the progress achievements and leading indicators towards achieving EPCO objectives
