Head of Construction & Installation

Job Description

We are looking for Head of Construction & Installation for QatarJob Purpose Direct the planning, preparation and execution of all aspects of the construction and installation requirements of the project from yard fabrication to load out through to final installation offshore, as well pipe laying operations ensuring all key objectives are achieved or exceeded. In addition ensure the construct ability and install-ability of the design is consistent with established industry processes and effectively manage issue resolution through strong interfaces with both company and contractor teams delivering full alignment on the installation execution. Through his broad offshore installation knowledge, he will ensure that the different offshore installation campaigns are performerd safely and efficiently, whether stalk-on riser installation, pipelaying, composite cable installation, or jackets and topsides installation. Finally he will provide the necessary support to the Brownfield and shutdown team as well as the HookUp team for any critical lifting requirements.Responsibilities:1. Determine, uphold and inspire safety, health and environment performance for all construction and installation activities during the execution of the workscope via demonstrable safety leadership and compliance with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures and policies in order to promote a safe work environment.2. Ensure delivery of NFPS EPC-Offshore Project construction and installation workscope (CAT1 Mega Project with estimated CAPEX budget of >$2bn) in accordance with agreed schedule.3. Coordinate work in full compliance with Client Standards of Business Conduct and Client Project Management System (QGPMS) ensuring contractor capability to fulfill requirements and provide support as necessary to address identified gaps.4. Review and ensure CONTRACTOR execution plan, schedule and associated procedures for contruction and installation are compliant with the Contract and Scope of Work, in particular in terms of safety, and will deliver the different assets as per the agreed schedule.5. Manage the construction and installation schedule and critical milestones, effectively negotiating changes to scope, developing recovery/contingency plans, to address any delays, ensuring timing is in accordance with approved project schedule. Provide execution data (narrative, charts, graphs, etc.) for the monthly progress reporting and stewardship in respect to the delivery of construction and installation activities.6. Direct all installation activities effectively to ensure impact on Operations is minimised and timing of the workscope is in accordance with the approved project execution schedule and aligned with stakeholder expectations.7. Liaise with the Project Management Team (PMT) and ensure alignment with PMT and Client Operations on project execution plans, needs, objectives and requirements.8. Develop and maintain effective relationships with contractors, stakeholders and customers ensuring alignment on project delivery including interface agreements and execution plans.9. Cooperate with review teams and support post-audit activities with respect to contract administration and subcontracting process improvements.10. Provide Management a look-ahead of critical construction and installation activities to timely initiate the planning and the preparation of those critical operations with all stakeholders11. Highlight to Management attention, any signs of poor CONTRACTOR performance and take the lead for providing immediate corrective action proposals12. Inform Management immediately of any safety or compliance issues that are incompatible with Client procedures13. Provide regular and efficient reporting to provide Management a good overview of the progress achievements and leading indicators towards achieving EPCO objectives
