To handle all commercial activities on site being project?s financial transactions, quantity surveying, liaising with subcontractors and material procurement:1. Manages Divisional and mentoring of different project team. Supervising and training of staff is a high priority and continuous activity.2. Produce accurate Bills of Quantities and perform quantity cross checks as and when required3. Study contract and tender documentation e.g. contract conditions, technical specifications, Bill of Quantities to ascertain requirements in order to provide necessary technical support and input relating to measurement and /or contractual issues to ensure complete and satisfactory implementation of the contract requirement.4. Monitor and approve Material?s department in obtaining the necessary quotations for the materials required to execute the works as per the necessary specifications5. Responsible for the preparation of Sub-Contract Enquiries and ensuring that the necessary Quality Management Systems requirements are included within the Sub-Contract Agreement.6. Responsible for reporting on expenditure and forecast draw down against and revision of CTC & for the resolution of Contractual matters7. Approve the necessary detailed claims prepared by the Project Quantity Surveyors for payment in accordance with the conditions of contract ensuring all claims are fully documented with supporting details8. Monitor the implementation of the variation procedures in line with the contract requirements ensuring that all variations are accurately estimated, authorized and processed with any relevant supporting documentation retained9. Responsible for monitoring and controlling the financial aspects of the project on a monthly basis for reporting and forecasting cost against allowances10. Ensure that, in conformance with Conditions of Contract, Company?s interest are with regards to expenditure and income, protected at all times11. To set commercial strategies for project & preparing necessary reports12. Liaising with subcontractors in their payments & correspondence13. Approving and monitoring the interim applications to suit contract requirements14. Monitoring and approving the variations and additional works identified and handled by the commercial department15. To be fully conversant with Standard Methods of Measurements (SMMS/POMI) & Conditions of Contracts (FIDIC)16. Manage and supervise the project?s quantity surveying staff, sub contractors administrator, material purchasing department and project accountants
