Centreville, VAPOSITION OVERVIEW:Are you a Systems Analyst familiar with design and managing a variety of networks and computer systems? If so, we are seeking a Systems Analyst to support technically diverse and challenging systems that are constantly evolve as the technology landscape changes. Your role will be essential to the design, implementation, validation, management, and delivery of these networks and computing systems. This is your chance to help us with this vital mission.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:Participates as a member of a team comprised of system engineers/analyst and application and hardware engineers/developers for the design of unique subsystems that will be ultimately integrated into the overall operating system.Assesses system architecture and current hardware limitations of complex systems.Gathers business and product functional and performance requirements. Defines and designs system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.Reviews literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects.Reviews the completion and implementation of system additions and/or enhancements. May make recommendations to Program and Project Managers for implementing process improvement techniques.May author technical whitepapers on approaches to the client?s operational needs, and as a basis for future development and proof of concept.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
