Falls Church, VAOpportunityThe Systems Engineer in this role will work in a mid-level engineer/project manager capacity and be an integral part of a multi-discipline, multi-source government/industry team, coordinating acquisition and engineering activities supporting the Missile Defense Agency Space Systems Architect?s office. Responsibilities will include: coordinate acquisition and engineering activities supporting a joint program office ventures to demonstrate and evaluate future space system capabilities; drafting Statements of Work (SOW); technical evaluation of contractor proposals; collaborative engineering analysis; system requirements development/coordination; test/demonstration planning; pre and post test analysis; supporting the government Program Manager (PM) with day-to-day management of contractor execution; integration of activities supported by several government and contractor organizations to plan and execute readiness events; independent technical and programmatic assessments; performance assessments; transition to operations analyses; development of system architecture products, requirements, CONOPS and integrated schedules; and, oversight of configuration management and risk management activities. The candidate must be able to work with a diverse team of personnel representing various government organizations, FFRDC, SETA, and development contractors. Some US Travel anticipated.More specific responsibilities include:? Engineering analyses supporting program management?
