Role Summary: Leads strategy development and drives implementation of the Health Care Compliance (HCC) program to ensure business practices and activities are in compliance with related J&J internal guidelines, local laws and regulations and anti corruption laws including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. The HCC Associate Director GCC is a strategic partner to the GCC Managing Director and advises the Board in leading and coordinating the Risk Assessment and Management Action Plan and Mitigation efforts. Serves as a strategic business partner for management and coach towards all covered employees, to assure that the company culture of compliance is a natural element in day-to-day business. This HCC Associate Director GCC role reports to the HCC Director, Emerging markets, EMEA Pharma. This position may be based in multiple locations in MEA region and has responsibility to manage the HCC Programs in Gulf Cooperation Council countries. Reporting to this position are HCC Manager, GCC and Senior HCC Specialist, GCC. This position will also have a dotted line to GCC Managing Director, Pharma. Duties and Responsibilities: Partner with company executive leadership to ensure that the HCC program effectively prevents, detects and/or corrects violations of law, regulations, policies, or the Code of Conduct. Strategic partner to the GCC Managing Director, Board member of GCC Management Board. Translate global HCC strategies into regional and local level and where needed sector level, based on appropriate local needs, goals and objectives, taking into account local external regulatory trends and environment. Develop Country strategy & plan aligning with the businesses and the Health Care Compliance & Privacy Organization. Assure adequate representation in local business governance structures and establish discussion platforms to get general business buy-in and impact analysis. Work with the Health Care Compliance, Privacy, Government Affairs, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Business Quality and external organizations (primarily trade associations) to shape & influence the environment and industry codes of conduct. Act as a consultant, and where appropriate, or required by the HCBI Guide assure review and approval for Health Care Professional (HCP)/Government Official (GO) oriented activities. Stimulate and contribute to innovative approaches towards HCPs and GOs consistent with the HCC/HCBI guidelines and framework and performing business plan reviews. Provide and coordinate appropriate guidance, education, training, and regular communications on HCC to all covered employees, including Managing Director, Management Board. Conduct self-assessment and risk assessment processes to detect process gaps & inconsistencies Develop testing & monitoring plan to demonstrate that the HCC program is effective and participate in execution where appropriate and engage Affiliate/Board participation in roll out. Coordinate preparations for Corporate Internal Audits. Coordinate the establishment of the Management Action Plan and guide the business partners to close gaps and implement corrective actions. Manage day-to-day allegations and partnering with Legal on investigations. Participate in and leading investigations of non-compliance and implementing the escalation process for serious allegations, as appropriate. Provide metrics at Country level to The Health Care Compliance & Organization. Actively engage in the enterprise-wide Talent Management process for HCC. Partner across the Pharm EMEA HCC organization, including through active participation, support and collaboration with the Pharm EMEA HCC leadership team. Qualifications Qualifications: Education: BA/BS, MA, advanced degree or equivalent preferred. Health Care Compliance diploma and certifications are a plus. 10 years of relevant business experience. Experience in Health Care Compliance or Finance or Business Compliance is required. Background may include Compliance, Finance, Sales or Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal or Regulatory. Knowledge of laws, regulations and industry standards for GCC / Middle East & Africa region a plus. Prior experience in project management is required. Ability to manage competing priorities and prioritise own and others? workload according to risk. People Leadership experience is required. Understands and masters the J&J Credo based culture. Ability to influence effectively business decisions and business partners. Able to take complex business situations and develop solutions to ensure complaint growth is achieved Proven track record in delivering results, self-starter and committed team player. Demonstrable success in project management / leadership. Excellent spoken and written English are mandatory for success in this role. Written & spoken Arabic would be an advantage.
