Job Description

Job Purpose:The Lead Specialist, Technical Training, is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of technical training programs within an organization. This role involves assessing training needs, designing and delivering training materials, managing training resources, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives. The Lead Specialist will collaborate with subject matter experts, cross-functional teams, and stakeholders to ensure that employees have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their roles effectively.Key Accountabilities:

  • Assess training needs and identify skill gaps within the organization, specifically related to technical competencies.
  • Develop comprehensive technical training programs, including curriculum design, instructional materials, and training delivery methods.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather technical content and ensure its accuracy and relevance for training purposes.
  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and e-learning modules that effectively address identified training needs.
  • Manage the training resources, including training facilities, equipment, and materials, to ensure smooth delivery of training programs.
  • Utilize a variety of instructional techniques and methodologies, such as simulations, case studies, and hands-on activities, to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Incorporate adult learning principles and best practices in instructional design to create effective and engaging training materials.
  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions, ensuring appropriate participation and availability of trainers and trainees.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, feedback surveys, and performance evaluations to measure learning outcomes.
  • Analyze training effectiveness data and make recommendations for continuous improvement of training materials and delivery methods.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in technical training, and integrate them into training programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to align training initiatives with organizational goals and strategic priorities.
  • Provide guidance and support to trainers and instructors, including mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
  • Coordinate with external training providers, consultants, and vendors as needed to supplement internal training capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to technical training and professional development.
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering, Technical Education, or a related discipline. Masters degree is a plus.Minimum Experience:Min 7 years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering technical training programs.
