Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Engineer to join our team in the forging and casting industry. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role in steel manufacturing, industrial machinery manufacturing or relevant business. Demonstrating a strong understanding of production processes and a track record of successfully managing and optimizing production operations.Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to develop and implement production plans and strategies.
  • Oversee and ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production processes, including forging, casting, or steel manufacturing, while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Analyze production data, such as yield, cycle time, and scrap rates, to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment availability, reliability, and optimal performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime and maximize production output.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Train and mentor production operators to improve skills and knowledge, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Production Engineer in the forging and casting or steel manufacturing industry or any related field.
  • Good knowledge of forging, casting, or steel manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
  • Solid understanding of quality control principles and practices.
  • Experience with production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Proficient in using computer-aided design (CAD) software and production management systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve production issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and lead production teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
