A Welder is responsible for joining metal parts using various welding techniques to fabricate or repair structures, machinery, and equipment. The role requires reading blueprints, understanding welding procedures, and ensuring strong, high-quality welds that meet safety and project specifications.Key Responsibilities:Interpret and read technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbolsPrepare metal surfaces by cutting, grinding, or cleaning before weldingPerform welding using methods such as MIG, TIG, arc welding, or gas weldingInspect welded joints for defects and quality standardsMaintain welding equipment and tools in good working conditionFollow safety procedures and use protective gear to avoid hazardsCollaborate with fabrication and construction teams to meet project deadlinesRepair or replace damaged metal components as neededMaintain accurate records of work completed and materials usedComply with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulationsQualifications:Certification or diploma in welding or related trade (preferred)Proven experience as a welder in a relevant industryKnowledge of welding techniques, tools, and safety standardsAbility to work with different metals and alloysPhysical stamina and manual dexterity
