Job Description

Job SummaryTo dispense prescription and over the counter medication to customers or health professionals. They also assemble medicines for prescriptions and provide information about medications.Job Responsibilities 1

  • Receive prescriptions and check their validity.
  • Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate.
  • Resolve issues when they arise (e.g., rejected insurance claims).
  • Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions.
  • Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory.
  • Record medical histories while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with the standard regulations.
Job Responsibilities 2
  • Deliver quality customer service to patients, responding to inquiries, questions, or requests, and referring them to the pharmacist for medical information.
  • Count prescription medication, filling prescriptions, and typing and attaching medication labels.
  • Provide input into the development and implementation of the pharmacy department?s policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to support an efficient and effective operation.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE&E and QM policies, procedures, and controls across the pharmacy department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service standards and a responsible environmental attitude.
