  • Attending HAZID/HAZOP workshops to assess hazards, causes and levels of risk.
  • Critically reviewing safety deliverables such as Hazard Reports, SIL Reports, Safety Cases and Safety Plans, etc.
  • Creating and amending Safety Cases following common standards such as EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 and EN61508.
  • Following up Control Measure Transfers between different Parties.
  • Reviewing Test procedures and attending Tests to ensure validation of requirements.
  • Liaising with the Independent Safety Assessor to resolve key certification risks.
  • Following up and providing Validation of Control Measures and Safety Requirements for Hazards / Control Measures exported to third parties.
PROFILE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical degree essential.
  • Proven experience in similar Safety discipline with a minimum of 5 years experience.
  • A good working background of Rail Industry from developed Countries is essential, min 10 years.
  • Good knowledge of Common Safety Methods and EN50126, EN50128, EN50129 and EN61508 is essential.
  • Knowledge of software (safety critical systems related) would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience in performing detailed hazard analyses (e.g., Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Subsystem Hazard Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis
