Job Description

Employment: Full Time Capable of performing at least the following activities:-Opening and closing the station; regularly inspecting the station to monitor safety, security and operational matters-Creating and implementing arrangements for station evacuation and incident management-Defect reporting; making sure that the station complies with the requirements under the law, for example concerning fire precautions-Recording incidents for evidence and future investigations-Making sure that contractors personnel and other contractor personnel do not adversely affect the integrity of station operations and have the required authority to enter controlled access areas-Managing permission for subcontractor and other contractor personnel access when authorized where circumstances warrant this in accordance with the operator rulebook-Coordinating the local response to emergency situations, directing controlled evacuations, liaising with the emergency services as necessary and debriefings after evacuations; and providing supervision and control during engineering hours.-Although stations will usually be closed to customers during these hours, contractors personnel or 3rd party contractors may need to gain access to the station and individual assets or rooms within-Competent to implement the roster on a day to day, shift by shift basis, with specific responsibility for checking that:The minimum number of Contractors Personnel have booked on dutyAll Contractors Personnel booking on comply with the alcohol and drugs policyStaffing levels are checked for the current shift and through to the end of the traffic day to ensure that they are adequate; andThe effect is understood when told a member of Contractors Personnel will not be attending for duty as expected; andWhere a shortage of Contractors Personnel is identified, competent to:Try to cover any gaps by reorganizing other Contractors Personnel on duty;Be aware not to cause other coverage issues; and iComply with any agreements concerning duties. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications / Skills Expectations for Ideal Candidates-Equipped with the skills necessary to deploy and supervise station Contractors Personnel on the station;-Manage his team with calm and objective particularly during challenging incident related situations.-Able to identify priorities, make decisions, and manage resources in both normal and urgent situations-Has a track record in the management of resources and people.-Able to anticipate, analyze, identify, and resolve problems cost effectively Competent in (anticipation) analysis, identifying and resolving problems rather classic and cost effectively.-High capacity for technical diagnosis - analysis, diagnosis and application.-Has the ability to plan and organize for maximum impact on operational efficiency.-Strong sense of customer service-Develops cooperative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
