Job Description

Main tasks and responsibilities (the position exist to perform the below tasks and essential activities)

  • Liaise with the various business units and discuss the desired workflows and application functionality to support them.
  • Act as a liaison between the end user, Technology team and outside vendors.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Clinical system of choice.
  • Project manage the implementation of clinical applications and reports on the progress.
  • Provide technical support to primarily the clinical staff (Physicians, Nurses and Allied Health) in the use of the Clinical program. Train and assist with technology related initiatives for primarily the clinical team.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of the application vendors performance and submits reports on it.
  • Provide input into the development and implementation of the department?s policies, systems, processes, and procedures, identifying potential areas of improvement, to support an efficient and effective operation.
  • Provide input into the preparation and consolidation of the department?s budget, monitor financial performance during the year and identify areas of unsatisfactory performance (if any), and recommend mitigating actions.
  • Where applicable apply international quality and accreditation standards (Such as JCI, CAP, HIMSS) for testing and validation of clinical and allied health programs.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the department?s short to mid-term plans to ensure alignment with the division?s strategic priorities and contribute to the development of annual business plans for the assigned areas of responsibility to support the achievement of financial objectives.
  • Monitor, control, and report key performance indicators related to the department, to track performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Play a role in enhancing and optimizing the EMR systems to provide excellent patient safety and usability for the users.
  • Work with end user to identify potential changes within the parameters and configurations related technical part of the EMR.
  • Act as third tier of support where deep investigation and analysis is being applied to solve issue.
  • Coordinating the management of system security and maintaining core technical components.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant HSE&E and QM policies, procedures, and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality service standards and a responsible environmental attitude.
