Linum Consult’s client is a large international company currently seeking a hands-on Senior HSE Engineer with a background in major heavy industry projects to be based in their Doha office.Responsibilities:• Implementing and overseeing the Health, Safety, & Environmental management activities of the projects, under the guidance of the HSE Manager• Leading the HSE Officers and monitoring on-site HSE performance, identifying potential hazards, and driving corrective & preventative actions to mitigate risks• Conducting inspections, supporting HSE audits, preparing reports, and ensuring the consistent application of HSE procedures and practices across all project activities• Ensuring the EPCC contractor has up-to-date, site-specific emergency response plans for: fire, chemical release, medical emergencies, and marine incidents• Coordinating with emergency services and the company’s crisis management teams during drills and actual emergenciesRequirements:• Degree qualification in an Engineering subject, with a relevant Professional Certification in Safety• At least 10 years’ experience in HSE, with at least 5 years in major projects, ideally within the heavy industry sector• Fluent in spoken and written English• Due to visa restrictions, our client can only consider candidates who are Western nationals
