Job PurposeAdvise and support Mechanical Engineering activities (in the general areas ofpiping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and packaged equipment) for bothonshore and offshore facilities during EPC and Start-up phase until handoverto permanent Asset whilst ensuring project deliverables meet Operationsexpectations in term of Safety, Operability, Reliability and Maintainability overthe facility design life cycle.Key Job AccountabilitiesProvide all aspects of Mechanical Engineering support (in the general areas of piping, pressurevessels, heat exchangers and packaged equipment) to contribute to the division strategy andgoals which include design reviews, commissioning, start-up, failure analysis, advancedtroubleshooting and develop work packs to maintenance executed modifications.2. Define and document best practices within the area of expertise and recommendsperformance improvement initiatives.3. Provide technical input related to area of expertise to other disciplines and functions as perrequirements to support overall business objectives. Identify plant problems concerning static.equipment and piping and shall cover degradation/ failure and equipment malfunction.4. Control and supervise the activities undertaken by contractors, consultants, and serviceproviders.5. Guide less experienced engineers in implementing the company integrity and reliabilitysystems.6. Support and facilitate smooth completion of project tie-in requirements for all systems underthe area of responsibility.7. Maintain Issue Register identifying and resolving critical issues including new technology risks(under area of responsibility) which could impact new project Reliability and Availability.8. Provide Management of Change related technical support to assigned Assets (Operations) andidentifying timely solutions to ensure Asset Integrity and Reliability sustaining safe andcontinuous plant environment.9. Active participation in Safety Workshops, Cold Eye Reviews and Value ImprovementWorkshops. Steward and participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), scenario-based risk.assessments (SBRAs), risk screening and Formal Risk Assessment (FRA).
