Retail Leasing Manager

Job Description

Role PurposeResponsible for heading, managing and overseeing all aspects of the leasing function, including developing the leasing plan to identify, attract and retain tenants and negotiate to achieve the best possible outcome, to ensure the proper tenant mix in line with the business plan.Accountabilities (Responsibilities):Manage day-to-day operations of leasing and ensure maximum optimization of resourcesAdopt best standards, practice and customer service Review and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure effective organisational managementEstablish and monitor objectives to ensure successful achievementResponsible for leasing premises according to defined retailer mix and ensure optimal retailer mixMonitor tenant mix to ensure commercially profitable to the mallManage all leasing activities including vetting and attracting prospective tenants, rental negotiations and the development of attractive leasing packagesFinalize renewals of existing retailers in accordance to companys rules and proceduresPrepare weekly and monthly reports on the status and performance of leasing activitiesCoordinate with tenants on a regular basis to resolve issuesAttend to tenants and clients needs and provide optimal level of serviceImplement all the necessary documentation required in the fulfillment of activities such as leasing, renewals, moving in, moving out and renovationDevelop and maintain a long term beneficial relationship with all established retail groups, to ensure continued stream of business opportunitiesKeep attuned to retail market trends and developments and be knowledgeable about competitive landscapeCoordinate with other department heads to ensure effective and efficient operation of the mallActively contributes, promotes and markets the mall to ensure high footfall and occupancy.Provides other support to management, as may be required from time to time. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications, Experience:A Graduate degree in the field of Business or similarA Minimum of 8 years Leasing management experience, preferably in the GCC regionMixed use development experience, an advantageExperience with luxury segment of the marketExtensive knowledge of leasing managementCompetencies / Skills and Knowledge:Leadership and decision making qualities are essentialA team playerAble to be trusted with confidential and sensitive company informationExcellent customer service skillsKnowledge of managing leasing contracts and negotiation, exposure to tender managementGood understanding of tenant mix and zoning, mall marketing, advertisement and promotionGood understanding of mall operationsStrong command of Leasing policies and proceduresProficient with MS OfficeSeasoned business professional and good technical knowledge of leasing retail and commercial facilitiesStrong analytical skills and financial acumenStrong negotiation and sales skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsPossess good command of English, ability to speak Arabic an advantageWorking knowledge of legal clauses in lease agreementTrustworthy, reliable and sound ethical judgment
