Job Description

About this role:

  • Ensure Vendors compliance with the applicable quality system processes, procedures and specifications during the Engineering and Procurement phases
  • Ensure implementation of the Company Contract requirements in area of responsibility and report any deviation to the Project Manager through the line responsible
  • Follow up, evaluate, qualify and monitor Subcontractor works during equipment fabrication from quality and progress aspects
  • Review all Inspection and Expediting Reports and prepare weekly reports to projects Manager
  • Prepare quality report for all Subcontractors, identify trends and monitor performance, including NCRs and corrective actions
  • Provide quality input to engineering equipment, inspection & test plans, procurement packages, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations
  • Review & approve Contractors/ Subcontractors NDT procedures & Inspection and Test Plans
  • Manage and coordinate all witness inspections on behalf of the Project at Subcontractors locations
  • Interface with Engineering and Project Quality Organization on Subcontractors quality performance
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure quality plans are implemented and critical interfaces identified for asset equipment
  • Coordinate identification and staffing of QC Inspectors
  • Develop surveillance plan to monitor effectiveness and compliance of Contractors Vendor Inspection activities
  • Support QC Manager and QA Coordinator in planning and conducting quality audits on Subcontractors.
What you need to bring:
  • Bachelors Degree in relevant discipline from a recognized University
  • 7+ years direct and relevant experience related to Quality Control in Engg. & Procurement with oil/gas or petrochemical or fertilizer industry.
