Job Description

Job purpose: The Project Analyst will be responsible for a variety of projects and assignments within the Information Technology Department.Responsibilities:

  • Performs analysis, follows up with contractors, gets updates, and resolves problems related to IT Infrastructure activation and operational levels.
  • Completes project tasks to enable the on time, within budget and scope delivery of IT Infrastructure projects.
  • Assures compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines, and processes.
  • Provides technical assistance to the Line Manager in project prioritization, resource allocation, and regular portfolio reviews.
  • Researches, collects, and evaluates project data necessary to meet project reporting and evaluation requirements.
  • Designs and develops the configurations to be deployed on systems using the approved solution assessment to meet requirements.
  • Develops, maintains, updates, and oversees project plans and schedules using tools established by the Division.
  • Tracks changes in the scope of projects.
  • Identifies and documents project issues and risks in information technology (IT) project plans and escalates to the Line Manager.
  • Monitors and maintains the project communication plan and process.
  • Provides project plan trend analysis and control including analysis, research, development, and maintenance of the project data.
  • Provides recommendations for improvement of project management processes currently in use.
  • Maintains favorable relations and performs problem/issue resolution.
  • Maintains records, prepares reports, and conducts correspondence related to the work.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
