Job Description

Develop / update, improve and implement plans, procedures, standards and systems for all the planning, scheduling and reporting related tasksPrepare and maintain project work break down structure and integrated master schedule for the ProgrammePrepare and maintain consistent progress measurement system with in ProgrammeSupport in identifying, developing, and improving plans, procedures, standards and systems for the Planning departmentSupport in developing / updating and implementing appropriate KPIs for the ProgramAnalyze and report on the Consultants and Contractors schedules and progress reportsPerform critical path analysis of schedulesPrepare independent risk analysis of Consultants and Contractors SchedulesEnsure that approved Baseline Schedule is followed by all the entities involved and the Projects complete with in the budgeted time and costPrepare reports to the senior management pertaining to schedulesAnalyze and report on the Consultants and Contractors Extension of Time ClaimsWork with the members of the team and the other departments to make sure schedule obligations are met with in order to complete the Project on timeThe establishment of collaborative internet enabled tools for working efficiently with consultants, contractors and other external agenciesSupport in establishing tools and systems that allow lessons learned to be captured from constructing projects, and use this intelligence to alter the process, tools and systems in order to improve the approach to deliver the upcoming projects REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 15 years post graduate experience with experience in major infrastructure projects or programmes; out of which a minimum of 5 years in management role. Preference will be given to roads, aviation, structures or rail related experienceRelevant Professional membershipDemonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projectsExperienced user of Primavera P6, and MS OfficeSound knowledge of planning and scheduling of roads and infrastructure projectsSound knowledge of different contract forms, e.g. FIDICExperience in working on latest planning tools and techniquesExperience in risk management tools and techniques, e.g. PredictExperience in successfully managing a team of plannersSound Knowledge of Extension of Time Claim analysisExperience of working in GCC Countries especially in QatarIn-depth knowledge of project claims and contractual supportA rounded profile, comfortable with planning, analysis and managing process (the successful candidate will also be able to mobilize people and teams and by their leadership skills lead teams and secure successful deliverables)Effective in building good working relationships within complex structures, both internally and with various project stakeholdersMandatory REQUIREMENTS:University degree from a recognized university in Engineering or equivalentExcellent communication skills in English, written and spokenDrivers LicenseDesirable REQUIREMENTS:Masters degree in a relevant fieldCertificate in using PrimaveraArabic language skillsExperience of working in Qatar or the Gulf region
