The role of the Marketing & Events Executive will be focused on:?Managing all duties necessary to effectively hold events/functions, including but not limited to: UDC corporate events (forums & exhibitions) and all other types of events at The Pearl Island.?Liasing with Marketing & Communications team to make sure a marketing/ media plan is in place & executed for all planned events.?Lead and manage the events team by prioritizing projects, tasks, timeline, budget and delivery to a successful end product.Key Accountabilities?Responsible and accountable for managing and overseeing of the event implementation, timeline and budget.?Overseeing all creative and logistical aspects of event implementation, including theme, tone, style, venue, decor, entertainment, audio-visual, food, etc.?Designing exciting, engaging, creative events that meet objectives and Budgets.?Managing relationships and negotiating with vendors, venue representatives and internal and external stakeholders.?Working seamlessly with senior-level communicators and executive representatives across the organization.?Working closely with the event company, ensuring optimal performance & quality.?Communicate project expectations with 3rd party vendors including events companies and service providers.?Overseaainternal resources and outside vendors to deliver projects according to the defined scope.?To maintain and develop successful relationships with existing customers and partners via face-to-face meetings, telephone and e-mail.?To identify and make effective contact with potential customers and partners within the business community and to create new business relationships and opportunities.?Managing & tracking the yearly events budget.?Manage the events team, by prioritizing projects, tasks, timeline and delivery to a successful end product.?Create brainstorm sessions and contribute innovative ideas with the events team.?Carry out and performs other related duties as specified and when required and assigned by the Line Manager to improve or enhance the efficiency of directorate?s work and performance.
