Employment: Full Time Job Duration: Permanent Employment Charterhouse is working with a leading organisation in Qatar who is expanding their legal team and are looking to hire a highly capable and professional Legal Translator who will execute a crucial role supporting the Legal and Compliance Department.This is an exciting and challenging role where you will provide an extremely high standard of translation and interpretation accurately in Arabic and English and vice versa that may also be technically and linguistically complex.Supporting a dedicated and extremely busy legal team you will be responsible for reviewing and producing written translations of legal texts, documents, contracts, agreements, policies and manuals as well as board related documents, audit reports, HSE reports and laws. You will also act as an interpreter for the organisation when required being able to effortlessly conduct simultaneous translation and interpretation services at a senior level when interpretation services are required, both locally based and potentially overseas. REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate should have a Degree in Translation with at least 3 years experience working as a Legal Translator and Interpreter in Arabic/English and vice versa to an extremely high level and accuracy. You should have good research skills, excellent knowledge in MS Office applications and have a good understanding of legal terms and definitions, legal documents as well as contracts. Candidates located in Qatar would be preferred.
