Job Description

Lead of Mechanical Engineering ? Offshore Compression Project

  • Job PurposeProvide Mechanical engineering support to onshore and offshore projects (Topsides, Jackets, Decks, Bridges, Brownfield Modifications) during detailed design; support ongoing tender evaluations of EPC contracts, prepare ITTs for future EPCs including any FEED updates. Ensure technical documents comply with project requirements.
  • Reports to Head of Facilities (NFPS Compression Shared).
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)Support the various EPC PMTs for Mechanical Engineering detailed design, risk-based evaluation of complex technical issues, ensuring detailed design deliverables are compliant with project requirements, while meeting required Company quality expectations. Coordinates the delivery (content and timing) of offshore structures deliverables for future EPC ITT packages including FEED updates in accordance with project requirements.BSupport tendering process for EPC ITTs and develop EPC ITT packages for Mechanical (Piping, Layouts & Static Equipment) discipline for future EPC projects in accordance with the approved project execution schedule and budget.Support various EPC PMTs by reviewing documents and/or attending workshops/meetings when requested to ensure quality timing of Mechanical deliverables is in accordance with the approved project execution schedule and budget.Analyse technical attachments and scope description of Mechanical equipment and piping related purchase orders to ensure compliance with scope description in related contracts.Supply previous lessons learned knowledge to enhance project performance and ensure that current project lessons learned are captured for future reference.Assess the Mechanical related activities in respect to engineering execution by ensuring plans, procedures, objectives, and overall job requirements adhere to specifications, standards, and design verification processes.Cooperate with review teams and support post-audit activities related to Mechanical design.
