Responsible for overseeing Civil/Structural engineering discipline and EPC Contractor in delivery of all aspects of civil/structural design to ensure technical objectives are met within the approved scope, budget and schedule. Ensures technical requirements such as project specifications, data sheets, procedures, etc. developed during EPC fully comply with project requirements and executed in the field.
Provide clear guidance to the EPC contractor and facilitate resolution of technical issues to complete civil/structural field engineering activities to meet project objectives and milestones.
Provide field engineering oversight of EPC civil/structural/building scope and deliverables to support EPC Contractor and sub-contractors in the execution of civil/structural activities.
Monitor civil/structural/building field execution quality, schedule and progress.
Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of 10 years? experience in EPC projects, in civil/structural discipline including detailed design and field engineering construction/commissioning phases Experience in Oil & Gas Facilities, especially LNG facilities and or large utilities systems with large civil/structural/building scope Knowledge in geotechnical, foundations design, underground installations, drainage, precast concrete, steel structures Knowledge of key relevant civil engineering and Qatar building codes (QCS2014, ACI, AISC, BS EN, etc) Experience with building design and field execution Some construction execution experience, and understanding of the interfaces with other disciplines related to work installation and sequencing Excellent written English and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team Experience working in multicultural environments.
