Baker Hughes offers its customers technology and solutions that minimize the risk of additional costs during the construction of wells worldwide.Duties and ResponsibilitiesYoull bring technical differentiation with expertise in reservoir Geo-mechanical modeling throughout the oil field life cycle. You will be leading projects and providing assistance to consultancy projects for clients across the MENATI region.As a Lead Geomechanics Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Act as reservoir centric geomechanics focal point to build and develop technical and business relationships mainly focused on external clients along with alignment with internal product company/lines stakeholders.
• Lead and execute Geo-mechanical project work including but not limited to stress constraint, pore pressure and wellbore stability analysis, rock mechanics, fracture permeability, fault seal analysis, image & caliper log analysis, compaction/subsidence modeling, sand production prediction, Drilling risk management solutions as well as 3D static/dynamic geomechanics.
• Interact with clients and also visit customers for interim meetings or project presentations. Align and support the RTS technical sales activities, revenue targets and business growth plans in Qatar & Turkey.
• Recognize customer challenges, propose and recommend solutions that contain RTS? advisory services, higher value generating solutions, including cross-product line collaboration, for both the customer and Baker Hughes.
• Provides technical guidance and review of projects for consulting resources on various geomechanics services focused on 1D and 3D/4D geomechanics applications.
• Conducts internal and external training courses, as well as mentors and develops talent.
• Lead and support multi-discipline project teams and promote cross product-line collaboration, as required.
• Participate in cross-Product Line (PL) project risk assessments to demonstrate and mitigate geomechanics-related risks.
• Provide input and work jointly with multiple Product Lines (PL) as part of various cross-PL initiatives.
• Assist sales and commercial teams and provide adequate technical due diligence support and enhance Baker Hughes value for tenders and proposals.
• Stay up to date on Baker Hughes technology and services, as well as leverage opportunities to create values through integrated and multi-disciplinary workflows.
• Thought leadership both internally and externally through publishing and presenting in professional forums to promote recognition as technical expert and brand ambassador.
• Facilitates Geomechanics-specific research and lead software development efforts through close collaboration with Baker Hughes Digital teams as applicable.
• Demonstrate compliance to company policies, including HSE compliance.

Required qualificationsTo be successful in this role you will:

• Master?s degree in a geoscience or related discipline and greater than 10 years of industry experience.
• Strong balance with technical and sales skills.
• Demonstrates expert understanding of all Geomechanics topics, and ability to speak with clients about specialized Geomechanics applications.
• Demonstrates proficiency in Geomechanical model-building and related software such as GMI Software Suite
• Experience with ABAQUS (or other FEA packages) and 3D modeling package such as JewelSuite Subsurface Modeling
• Working experience in multiple petroleum basins/provinces and understand their geological settings and reservoir complexities.
• Ability to build rapport and network across complex organizations and disciplines.
• Individual contributor that can demonstrate strong teaming skills to work across various Baker Hughes internal and external organizations.
• Robust and reliable project management skills.
• Strong communication skills - written, verbal and presentation.
• Self-motivated and can operate with minimal supervision.
• Be confident, flexible and adaptable and perform under stress when required and the ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
• Is able to travel about 20-30% of time.
