Location – QatarExperience: 1–3 YearsAvailability: Immediate Joiners PreferredLanguage: Arabic (Required), English (Required)About the role:ALGO Systems Qatar is seeking a proactive and skilled IT/Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT and cybersecurity, with hands-on experience in implementing and maintaining security systems. This is a great opportunity to work on national-level infrastructure and smart city projects.Key Responsibilities:• Monitor and maintain network and system security• Respond to and investigate security alerts and incidents• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing• Assist in developing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures• Configure and manage firewalls, antivirus, SIEM, and endpoint protection systems• Support in auditing and compliance with local cybersecurity regulations (e.g., NIA, Q-CERT guidelines)• Maintain documentation related to IT infrastructure and cybersecurity• Assist in user access control, backups, and disaster recovery planningRequirements:• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field• 1–3 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity or IT support• Solid knowledge of:– Network security principles and protocols– Firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto), IDS/IPS– Endpoint protection & email security (e.g., ESET, Sophos, Barracuda)– SIEM tools and log analysis– Vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, OpenVAS)– Familiarity with cybersecurity standards (ISO 27001, NIST, or similar)– Experience with Active Directory, Office 365 security settings, VPNs– Arabic speaking is mandatory– Immediate availability is highly preferred– Holding a cybersecurity certificate is a plus (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH, or equivalent)
