Instrument TechnicianJob Location : QatarMain Duties/Responsibilities :? Follow HSE procedure and work with complete safety at all times.? Must have knowledge and experience in the preventive maintenance of pressure, level, flow, temperature transmitters and loops.? Must have knowledge and experience in the preventive maintenance of control valves, shut off valves and solenoid valves Must have knowledge and experience in the calibration and maintenance of Oxygen, CO2, CO, H2, Trace Oxygen and GC analyzers.? Must have experience in the calibration of smart type HART protocol field transmitters.? Must have experience in the calibration of smart type HART protocol valve positioners.? Thorough knowledge of reading and understanding the DCS/PLC wiring diagrams, P&ID, functional/logic diagrams and instrument data sheets.? Should have experience in Instrumentation tubing work.? Should have experience in Instrumentation cable tray installation work.? Should have experience in signal cable laying, ferruling, crimping and termination? Must have experience in the Installation of transmitters, control valves and analyzers.? Must have knowledge and experience to use the standard instruments for calibration, testing and commissioning.? Must have knowledge and experience in fire and gas detection systems.? Must be conversant with Hazardous area equipment.? Must be aware of Oxygen service instruments and oxygen cleaning procedures.? Should have experience in instrumentation loop checking and simulation.? Respond to emergency situations in order to resolve issues on an immediate basis.? Must have a good understanding of QA/QC and HSE compliance audits? Assist GASAL supervisor during stock checking? Maintain, preserve and secure the tools and equipment? Housekeeping of the work areaSkills & Experience Qualifications:? Engineering Diploma or equivalent qualification in Instrumentation Experience:? Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar role/industry.? Experience in Air separation plant is preferable.Skills:? Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Gmail)? Good verbal and written communication in English.? Experience in Maximo or SAP or any other computerized maintenance management systems will be an added advantage.
