Located in the heart of Doha Old Town, Kimpton Al Rowda Doha will be the first Kimpton in the Middle East bringing the brand?s playful energy, infectious personality, and unique design style to this charming and vibrant area of town. Just a stone?s throw from the many favorite sights of the Qatari capital, the hotel will welcome guests and locals to experience its 283 guest rooms, including suites and serviced apartments, and to enjoy a multitude of unique dining options.The role?s primary responsibility is to ensure implementation and compliance of Hygiene standards in accordance with the local regulations concerning Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS), hotel procedures, safety, as well as brand standards and hotel policies and procedures. To manage the Hygiene functions efficiently to provide a safe and secure hotel environment for our guests and employees, and ensure that all safety guidelines of the resort are met with the implementation of the HACCP System as mandated by IHG, and Municipality. Some of your main role responsibilities are: ? Manage the daily activities related to Hygiene of the hotel and ensure calendar checks are conducted and recorded. ? Conduct workplace inspections, internal audits. ? Ensure Senior Management involvement and awareness in Environmental Health and Safety Management System (EHSMS), and solve issues through training, inspections, communications, and direct coaching. ? Manage and ensure the EHSMS strategy is implemented by all departments, liaising with HODs to ensure that EHSMS, programs, and initiatives meet IHG HACCP standards. ? Implement required Standard Operating Procedures for safety and hygienic ways of working in association with the Head of Department and General Manager. ? Ensure that Hygiene Policies and Procedures, Brand Safety Standards, and guidelines are fully understood, implemented, and maintained by the Risk Management Committee and any relevant management and staff. ? Liaise with Department Heads to ensure regular risks are identified and risk assessments are conducted in each area of risk. ? Ensure all relevant Hygiene training is conducted for new starters, and other colleagues at appropriate intervals as directed either by law or by company standards. ? Educate employees on current safety issues to ensure compliance with all company loss control policies and current safety regulations.In order to be considered for this role, ideally, youll have some or all of the following competencies and experience were looking for: ? University / College degree holder in Food Service Management, Hospitality Management or related major. ? 2 - 3 years of experience in roles dealing with FLS, or HACCP responsibilities in a reputable hotel ? HAACP Internal Audit Certificate required. ? Familiarity with organizational design models and decision-making frameworks. Good Problem-solving skills, reasoning, organizational and training abilities are used often. ? Must have demonstrated the ability to lead a diverse team of auditors and third parties. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with people at all levels are essential. ? Strong analytical and organizational skills are required. ? Working knowledge of local laws, investigation methods, EHSMS requirements, fire codes, and life safety codes. ? An eye for detail and a focus on quality standards. ? Luxury and lifestyle experience is preferred ? Pre-Opening experience is an advantage
