Job Description

We are currently hiring a Facility, Health & Safety and Security Manager for Volkswagen Group Middle East to be based in Doha office. The following will be your main goals and objectives:MAIN RESPONSIBILITIESFacility ManagerMonitors all activities related to buildings and properties of the companies Volkswagen Group Middle East (VWGME) and Volkswagen Group Sales Middle East (VWGSME).Office Management ? Major office plan changes such as refurbishment / extension / new projects.Oversee the commissioning of new facility and hand over process in case there is a plan to move to any other location for either office.Responsible for keeping the infrastructure in good condition and ensuring that the operating systems and facilities are safe (occupational safety) and functional in cooperation with our Lease Holders.Maintain updated floor plans, costing for projects etc.Arrange for appropriate documentation whilst sending material out of VWGSME or Training Academy on temporary or permanent basis (this only includes material being sent into storage or disposed & NOT for distribution to dealers which is managed by Logistics).Responsible for service contracts and Purchase orders of Facility related suppliers in cooperation with Lease Holders, where applicable.Maintenance and Repairs: Planning, coordinating, and overseeing maintenance and repair activities for the facility, including HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and structural elements.Liaise with Lease Holder and suppliers and support negotiations and solutions for improving office maintenance and facility management issues.Safety and Security: Implementing and managing safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of occupants and compliance with regulations. This may include overseeing security systems, fire safety measures, and emergency response plans.Health & SafetyResponsible for the implementation of the VW Group Operating Policy for occupational Health & Safety.Coordinate with the concerned authorities and property facility management to implement health & safety measures in the office environment.Manage the maintenance of equipment and supplies to meet legal and operational health and safety standards.Responsible to Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measuresInspect premises and the work of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthyRegional SecurityThe job holder is responsible for leadership and planning of security operations management and the organization and coordination of crisis management.Development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy in line with Volkswagen Group security policies and minimum-security standards to ensure that appropriate and cost-effective security measures / countermeasures are in place to maintain business processes in a secure working environment for employees in accordance with Group Security Policies (Group Policy 13).Represent Volkswagen Group Security in local and/or regional projects.Assessment and communication of security risks with regard to the specific security risks and challenges of a sales organization in the Middle East region.Network with security professionals in the public, private, and commercial sectors and security associations to improve collaboration on security risk issues. Developing a security contact network in the Middle East region.KEY COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONSFor you to be successful for this role, you must possess below attributes:Bachelor?s degree in Building Management, Safety Management, Economics, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications and experienceProfessional Certification in Crisis Management / Business ResilienceAppropriate professional qualificationExperience in technical operations and engineering operations as well as building management best practicesExperience in setting up an operational unit, background in operational securityExperience in the field of group securityProven professional experience as a Facility Manager and/or Security Manager or in a similar positionProven experience in intercultural cooperationSound knowledge of security planningAbility to prioritize multiple projects, even complex ones, and consistently execute to completionAbility to identify problems and design effective and sustainable business solutionsConfident appearance, convincing and assertive, trustworthy and reliableProfessional work ethic and integrity
