Head of Piping - (CO2 Sequestration Project)Job Purpose

Responsible for overseeing CO2 Sequestration Project FEED/EPC Contractor in delivery of all aspects of Piping/Pipeline design, equipment, materials, technical and execution definition, including planning and execution of detailed design, procurement, installation, testing and commissioning.Ensures technical requirements (e.g. project specifications, data sheets etc.) developed and implemented during FEED/EPC, fully comply with project requirements and through effective collaboration and interfaces ensures process design considers for full production life cycle.

Job Context & Major Challenge(s)

During FEED/EPC execution the position is responsible for verifying the design and implementation of piping/Pipeline deliverables including large pipe sizes, large valves (e.g. control, motor operated, pressure relief, manual), and other piping/fittings. , Approvals of piping stress calculations and design of piping shoes, pipe hangers and weld joint design, G&A, plant lay-out and 3D model.
Major challenges for this role are (1) effectively managing FEED/EPC Contractor and Piping Engineering team to deliver technical input in accordance with project requirements (2) maintaining constructive working relationships with FEED/EPC Contractor, its subcontractors and vendors to ensure delivery of workscope in accordance with project requirements and (3) maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHE and Quality) to ensure alignment of Piping/Pipeline Engineering deliverables.
