The Fire Alarm Technician is responsible for the installation, testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems within Oil & Gas facilities. The role ensures all systems operate effectively and comply with applicable safety standards, project specifications, and international fire protection codes.Key Responsibilities:Installation & MaintenanceInstall, inspect, and maintain fire alarm systems including control panels, detectors, manual call points, sounders, and interfaces.Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.Testing & Commissioning:Test all components to ensure functionality, proper signal flow, and integration with other safety systems (e.g., firefighting systems, HVAC, BMS, access control).Troubleshooting & Repairs:Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure minimal system downtime.Replace defective components and recalibrate sensors as needed.Ensure proper documentation of all service and maintenance activitiesQualifications & Experience:Education: Diploma or Technical Certificate in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation / Fire & Safety or related field.Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Fire Alarm Systems, preferably in Oil & Gas or industrial environments.
