Factory Manager

Job Description

This position is critical for fostering maximum profitability, optimum stocking, increased customersatisfaction. To coach the team and drive continuous business improvements.Commercial Performance? Responsible of the preparation and active participation in departmental budgets.? Optimize the production, and overall profitability of the department.? Maximize the productivity targets? Formulate and implement strategies and procedures in discussion with the CEO.? Control costs within the budgetary guidelines.? Identify internal and external commercial opportunities.? Ensure an effective Stock and Space Management.? Conduct SWOT review to analyze suppliers profiles.? Provide monthly feedback to CEO on competitors? Suggest improvements based on benchmark practices.? Continuous reduction of manufacturing costs.Inventory Management & Stock Distribution? Ensure an effective Inventory and Warehouse Management for the department (order / productionmanagement, stock consolidation, movement and transfer, optimum stock utilization, stock return &liquidation).? Review and analyze stock and sales reports to monitor the over and under stocks and implement correctiveaction where necessary.? Effectively deal with fast / slow lines, new ranges, end of ranges and implement necessary action.? Provision of monthly feedback to CEO on production status, stock positions and productfeedback.Business Management & Development? Responsible of developing new capabilities, research and development initiating new products; andmanage engineering projects from start to completion.? Responsible of continuous improvement plan on existing products to achieve high quality (QA/QC) and costeffectiveness.? Implement lean manufacturing process in all factory activities.? Qualify new suppliers in coordination with Supply Chain for raw material / parts to diversify our sources.? Set and maintain project management KPI and periodic report to the CEO through a presentation containingthe status of existing and planned projects.? Continuously seek methods of innovations and improvements to existing manufacturing processes, tools andequipment?s in collaboration with production and sales teams.? Understand Air Conditioners dynamics (demographics, customer behavior, market understanding,etc.? Regular visits to Consultants for Technical presentation, listing of our products in PVL and align projectsspecification with our products.? Manage the factory / product audits (Eurovent, AHRI, ISO, etc) with certifying party in coordination withInternal Audit.Operational Standards and Management? Develop and maintain process KPIs; monitor the quality and specification for dimension; provide failureanalysis to determine root cause and corrective action through a team of engineers and technicians.? Establish Engineering policies and procedures for Configuration Management, Production/Manufacturingdaily operations.? Prepare department operating plans, renewed service level agreements and projects.? Ensure all the activities of the department are in compliance with the department operating procedures andcustomer service standards.People Management? Conduct staff welfare activities along with HC&A.? Ensure all new recruits understand their job and have undergone the company orientation program.? Ensure skill development of employees through Learning & Development.? Monitor and appraise the performance of staffs in developing individual career plans.? Set Goals for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal.? Oversee staff deployment and drive motivation levels of the direct reportees.? Responsible of following any other tasks / projects that are assigned by your manager.? Ensure all the activities of the department are in compliance with the company policy on employment andstate laws and safety standards.? Ensure all the activities of the department portrays the company image in all aspects of personal presentationand adheres to the company dress code as laid out by the Company.
