General informationOrganisation As an international subsidiary of the SPIE group specializing in the energy sector, SPIE Oil & Gas Services has been working at the heart of energy production infrastructures for several decades, designing, installing, starting up and maintaining them, while ensuring the best possible conditions in terms of safety, costs, lead times and quality.With around 3,100 employees of 70 different nationalities working in about 30 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, SPIE Oil & Gas Services offers its customers from the oil, gas and renewable energy industries sustainable solutions in the following areas: well delivery & management, projects, engineering & construction, assessment & competency development, commissioning & start-up, operations, maintenance & asset integrity.With around 45,500 employees and a strong local presence, SPIE achieved in 2020 consolidated revenues of ?6.6 billion and consolidated EBITA of ?339 million.Reference 2022-24221Position description Job titleEngineering Manager M/FContract typeTemporary work contractContractual hoursFull timeContract duration3Job descriptionWe currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Qatar LLCEngineering ManagerJob Purpose:This position is a unique opportunity to Support the Project Manager by assisting and managing all Engineering activitiesEnsure implementation of the Contract requirements in area of responsibility and report any deviation to the Project ManagerEnsure full implementation and adherence to the HSE Regulations and proper follow up of the HSE Procedures and Instructions in all areas of WorkYour main duties will be to:-Responsible for progress of all Engineering activitiesEnsure that the works are being done in accordance with the Quality requirements of the ProjectFollow up EPCC Contractor and Subcontractors for all Project phases in order to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work and report any deviations.Actively contribute to Safety Walks, reporting of accidents and investigation of accidentsFollow up EPCC Contractors/Subcontractors with regard to interpretation and proper implementation of the technical content of the EPCC Contract documentsFollow up schedule and progress including detection of deviation from the EPCC Contract scheduleSupport Contract Manager in technical review of Contractor?s Claims and Variation Order RequestsProvide support to Contracts Manager related to finalizing Spare Parts quantities and review of Spare Parts for quality and adherence to EPCC Contract requirements once Spare Parts arrive on Site.Ensure proper identification, registration and follow-up of Defects post Plant Take-OverManage all the site engineering changes and ensure updating of the Project documentation to As Built StatusManage the Project Documentation delivery to Qafco (Final and as Built Documentation)Verify all Project None Conformities with recommendation to the Project ManagerIdentify, report and follow up risks within own area of responsibilityCoordinate the day to day Engineering activities and coordinate the same with Qafco and the external authorities as neededFollow up on all design changes and their implementationResponsible for providing the inputs to the monthly report Steering Committee / Board presentations and other reporting matters as per specific requests from Project ManagerProfileIdeally you will have Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering in the relevant field from a recognized University with minimum of15+ years direct and relevant experience related to operation and management of fertilizer oroil/gas or petrochemical industry.
