To support the organization by delivering and receiving documents, packages, etc. to and from the designated locations in a timely manner and ensuring proper maintenance of the vehicles.
Transportation
Responsible for 24?7 operation of driving the vehicle, including picking up and dropping off O&M staff.
Drive assigned vehicle in a safe manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations.
Ensure that all safety and emergency items are available in the vehicle.
Upon completion of the tasks, park the vehicle at the camp and hand over the keys to camp in-charge.
Submit all service and fuel bills as per the instruction of supervisor.
Wear the uniform and PPE at all times on duty.
Carry out assigned jobs by line managers (Plant Supervisor, Sr. Plant Engineer) as and when required.
Vehicle Maintenance
Schedule and keep track of the vehicle(s) general maintenance schedules.
Carry out regular inspections of the assigned vehicle to ensure its road worthiness and safe operating condition.
Perform minor maintenance tasks on assigned vehicle(s) as required.
Refill fuel for the assigned vehicle(s) as needed.
Keep vehicle(s) clean and check oil and tire pressure periodically.
Report all accidents and traffic infringements to the supervisor in order to ensure appropriate action is taken and legal obligations are complied with.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma
Valid Qatar driving license
Minimum Experience:
1-2 years of experience as driver in Qatar (with a safe driving record)
Job-Specific Skills (Generic / Technical):
Basic knowledge of English and Arabic
Good driving skills
Knowledge and understanding of protocols and procedures
