Job SummaryThe Custom Clearance Manager supports the organization in establishing the operational standards to deliver on time performance at an optimised cost and zero tolerance in respect to timely clearance and processing of all related documents.Job Responsibilities 1Develop and implements customs procedures / work instructions (standardize).Translates business needs and priorities into actionable custom strategies.Ensures to complete all regulatory reporting to government agencies as required.Develop and implements most effective procedures and routes for shipments.Communicates with shipping lines, dispatchers, warehouses and clients regarding custom regulations and other relevant government requirements/regulations.Negotiates prices, terms of sale an service agreements.Consult with government agencies on any issues arising.Provides support to Custom Clearance Team in problem resolutions ( i.e. helping to analyse and providing suggestions on resolving customs clearance issues and complains).Train, coach and mentor team members to improve their effectiveness and efficiencies.Relationship Management.Job Responsibilities 2Ensures customers receives their products/materials in a timely manner and good condition.Collaborate with other departments to integrate customs with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.Manages, coach and develops a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements.Ensures that all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors.
