Job Description

The Collections Officer plays a crucial role in managing the accounts receivable process within the industrial production sector. This position is responsible for ensuring timely collection of outstanding debts while maintaining positive relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a keen eye for detail, allowing them to effectively manage collections and contribute to the financial health of the organization.Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments.
  2. Communicate with clients regarding outstanding invoices and payment terms.
  3. Prepare and send collection letters and reminders to clients.
  4. Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions related to collections.
  5. Work closely with the finance team to reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies.
  6. Analyze aging reports to identify overdue accounts and prioritize collection efforts.
  7. Negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary to facilitate collections.
  8. Provide regular updates to management on collection status and outstanding debts.
  9. Assist in developing and implementing collection policies and procedures.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in collections management.
