Job Summary:The Accounts Assistant supports the finance team by performing day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. This role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in preparing reports to ensure smooth financial operations.Key Responsibilities:1. Accounts Payable and Receivable:?Process invoices, payments, and receipts.?Match purchase orders with invoices.?Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue invoices.2. Bank Reconciliation:?Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies.?Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports.3. Record Keeping:?Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.?Input data into accounting software or spreadsheets.4. Payroll Assistance:?Support payroll processing by preparing employee payment records.?Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements.5. Tax and Compliance:?Assist in preparing VAT, GST, or other tax returns.?Ensure all financial transactions adhere to company policies and regulations.6. Financial Reporting:?Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.?Support audits by gathering relevant financial data and documentation.7. Administrative Duties:?Handle correspondence with suppliers and clients regarding financial matters.?Respond to finance-related queries and requests.Qualifications:?Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.?Prior experience in a similar role?Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.?Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software.
