POSITION SUMMARYSummer Program AssociateAALIM is currently seeking qualified individuals to serve as an English and Arabic-speaking Program Associate. They will work on a variety of Arabic language programs ranging from six to eight weeks in length. This position will be based in Meknes, Morocco and is open to Moroccan and non-Moroccan residents of Morocco. The deadline to apply isMarch 25.AALIM?s programs are designed for undergraduate and graduate students. All programs are focused on the acquisition of Arabic language and culture in an immersive setting. Programs are held in Meknes, Morocco. If non-Moroccan applicants have previous experience in Morocco, they should provide a description of that experience, including familiarity with Moroccan dialect and the length of time spent in any specific location in their cover letter. Moroccan applicants should detail their experience working with non-native speakers of Arabic, with foreigners, or any travel or study abroad. All applicants should additionally provide details in their cover letter of any relevant volunteer work, teaching experience, translation work, research, administrative capacities, or any other activities that might bear on the applicant?s work at AALIM.The Summer Program Associate will represent AALIM to students on programs overseas. The Associate will work with Program Directors and Assistants to support logistics, manage communications between AALIM, program participants, and staff, keep notes and records, and student incident reports for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting, and support programming staff in resolving any medical and other emergency student support issues as necessary.All offers are contingent upon the applicant?s ability to receive and maintain a visa to the host country. Consultant agreements include a scaled compensation fee structure in the event of a cancellation 6 weeks or less before the start of the program.ANTICIPATED CONTRACT DATESSummer programs: May - August 2022 (exact dates will vary by program).
