Roles & ResponsibilitiesThe Managing Director serves as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients, overseeing operations at a strategic level while maintaining direct relationships with ship captains and key decision-makers. The role bridges client relations, operations, and commercial decision-making to ensure jobs are secured, executed, and closed successfully.Key Responsibilities:????????????Act as the main point of contact for captains and clients, building and maintaining strong working relationships.????????????Facilitate and coordinate ship repair, maintenance, and dry dock jobs from initial inquiry through to completion.????????????Oversee operations at a senior level, functioning as an operations manager on a broader, strategic scale.????????????Liaise with and, where necessary, provide input into technical matters across departments (mechanical, electrical, fabrication, carpentry, etc.) to keep jobs on track.????????????Represent the company at the forefront of all client communications and negotiations.????????????Manage commercial aspects of jobs, including pricing decisions and approving discounts to secure work.????????????Support the recovery of outstanding payments and follow up on monies owed by clients.Desired Candidate ProfileMaster's degree in Business Administration or a related field, demonstrating advanced understanding of corporate strategy.Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience, ideally within the same industry, showcasing proven results.Professional certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma preferred, reflecting commitment to project management excellence.Experience in international markets, with a preference for candidates with a diverse cultural background.
